Arts Asia Pacific is an Australian based producer, general manager, tour manager and representative agency. Arts Asia Pacific was founded in 2005 by Torben and Richelle Brookman to develop viable and sustainable touring circuits for first class international productions of a variety of genres throughout the Asia Pacific region. Through a network of representative offices and associated companies located in Adelaide, Melbourne, Korea, United Kingdom and South Africa, Arts Asia Pacific specialises in finding suitable producing partners and touring destinations for all manner of productions from large scale musicals and drama productions to dance and contemporary music as well as operating as an active independent producer and presenter.

Since the company’s inception in 2005, Arts Asia Pacific has produced, co-produced, executive produced, and managed tours of a number of major productions including We Will Rock You (Seoul 2008), La Fin Des Terres by Compagnie Philippe Genty (Hong Kong 2007, Macau 2008), Slava’s Snowshow (Shanghai 2007, Hong Kong 2007, Korea 2008, Taiwan 2008), Jesus Christ Superstar (Seoul 2007 and Busan 2007), Brad Little – The Phantom Unmasked (Seoul 2006). In addition Arts Asia Pacific has provided company management services to the Asian Tour of The Phantom of the Opera in Seoul, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

In 2009 Arts Asia Pacific has coproduced the world premiere production of Metro Street by Matthew Robinson with Power Arts and the State Theatre Company of South Australia which was nominated for 5 Helpmann Awards in July, 2009 (Best New Australian Work, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Music Direction of a Musical, Best Choreography in a Musical, Best Lighting Design of a Musical) as well as negotiating and managing a six city China tour of Irish Dance company Celtic Legends and a season of La Fin Des Terres by Compagnie Philippe Genty at the National Theatre in Taiwan. In June 2009, Arts Asia Pacific in association with Power Arts toured is also taking Metro Street to Korea as the opening production for the Daegu International Musical Festival and in August 2009 will be producing a production of The Lonesome West by Martin McDonagh, directed by Peter Carstairs, featuring Sibylla Budd, Travis Cotton, Ryan Johnson and Toby Schmitz as part of the B Sharp season at the Downstairs Theatre at Company B Belvoir.
