After graduating from The Centre for the Performing Arts in 1989, Victoria worked as a stage manager and scenic artistfor many mainstage theatre companies. In 1999 she completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts winning the Universityof South Australia’s medal for academic achievement. Since then she has freelanced full time as a designer and model maker and has exhibited models by invitation in Europe, USA and New Caledonia.
For State Theatre Company, Victoria has designed Ghosts, Blue/Orange, Lion Pig Lion, Waiting for Godot and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Other recent designs include the opera Undertow for the 2004 Adelaide Bank Festival of Arts (which toured in 2005 to Budapest and Helsinki), the concept design and art direction for Boho Bar on Unley Road, Landed for the Riverland Youth Theatre and
the musical: I love You, You’re Perfect Now Change for Singular Productions. She also was production designer for the 2007 short film Alma Mater High. Later this year she will design King Lear for State Theatre Company. |
